when you're sitting in your backyard having a cup of coffee and you can hear the balloons somewhere close by! :) It's always the perfect way to start a day!!
I spent at least eight hours weeding and cleaning the backyard yesterday, so this was absolutely the BEST reward anyone could ever have! ;) Thistles beyond belief, ended up with a whole garbage bag full. I suppose it doesn't sound like much, but I have a small yard. I used to have my parents come and spray them, which didn't work well, so I switched to 'painting' them with roundup....which is toxic; so this year, I'm using a special wand you put on your garden hose. This way you can pull the weeds and hopefully get as much of the root as you can - if nothing else, it doesn't poison my yard. :)
Today I will get my chopping blocks cured. I need to sand them down - bought myself a lovely electric hand sander - my daughter thinks I'm nuts!
See.... isn't it beautiful! It even came with it's own storage box, with a handle and everything!!! Ok, I'm sure you get the picture, can't wait to try it out....now, if only Anika would wake up so I could make some NOISE!!!! :)

I understand why Anika thinks you're nuts, tools just don't get me too excited..... However, I know you love tools and gadgets, and I'm sure you've made a lot of noise today :)

Yes, I ran out as soon as they were in sight, it was such a beautiful morning! :)
and yes, I made a lot of noise!!! Can't wait to find something else to sand! :) I'll wait until the weekend - the neighbours insist on waking me up at 2 or 3 am, which means I get some payback by sanding and making noise early in the morning....and waking them up!!! ;)
